Poster research
We selected a few posters of our choice to analysed and annotate the key concepts of a horror poster. From this we then decided on what our poster should contain and how we would grab our audiences attention by just a single iconic image. AH

From our research we have seen many different movie posters and each one of them is unique and different in their own way. From these posters we have been inspired by many of them and taken different techniques and ideas from each and joined them all together to create our own poster. The key techniques we have learnt to use in order to create an attractive and eye catching poster is:
1. To use an iconic image- this will help to promote the film/ teaser trailer as it will attract the audience and from one simple scene or image will draw the audience in and make them want to watch the film.
2. Eye catching colours- bright colours is the way to catching the audiences attention but if it is a dark and sinister film then using dark shades would be useful to help represent the film. It will make the audience wonder what the film is about.
3. Bold text - Using bold eye catching text will attract the audience and will give the audience a clear understanding of what your film is called. A good tagline is also key to a good film and film poster, if it is a strange tagline then it will seem mysterious to the audience which would make them want to watch the film in order to understand why they used that tagline to support their film/ teaser trailer.
Using these key features we have come up with a creative and eye catching poster of which is different to what has already been created. AH
